ABOUT THE BUSH SCHOOLS PROJECT
We train supervisors for each Bush School
We provide all materials : Bush School-Box
We start Bush Schools in Remote Villages
Why the Work
Many young people in countries that are our closest neighbours receive little or no education at all.
Many remote villages in these communities either do not have a school or do not have anyone to teach the children.
These communities want a better life for their children but feel trapped and helpless - they have very little in the way of a cash economy - they grow their own food, they still hunt and fish, they sell any cash crops to those who have paid jobs, usually in towns.
What money they do have comes spread out throughout the year. Barely enough to sustain them personally let alone start a school with resources needing to be bought.
They want their kids to have the opportunities that other kids get in the towns and cities, but are forced to resign themselves to their situation, with little hope of any real change in the future.
We are determined to help by bringing biblical worldview education to these villages but the need is big and the funding is limited.
When is it a Bush School and when NOT:
If a village has a cashless (barter) economy it qualifies as a Bush School. That means the village don't have any money. Bush Schools is then supported by another source and therefore it's a missional project.
If a local economy can support its own school, it does NOT qualify as a Bush School. If a school struggles to pay fees or to get books at a cheaper rate or to set up a school at low expenses it is also not define as a Bush school.
A Bush School is where a church or another organisation is saying: "We give money to start a Bush school in a remote village with a cashless economy".
The Impact
The student, the supervisor and in turn, through the children, the whole village. Not only are we impacting these children for God, but we are also preparing them to be Kingdom Builders, those who will change and shape nations, those who will bring the Word of God to their own nations, those who will become the politicians and preachers, lawmakers, and influencers.
The Focus
To make disciples of all nations and to bring God's Word to all people through the avenue of Biblical Worldview Education.
Our Mandate
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth." Acts 1:8 New American Standard Bible
